Frequently Asked Questions
When is the risk of a shutdown the greatest?
The risk of power shortage is greatest in the dark winter months (from November to March), because that is when power is used the most. If production is also limited at that time, for example due to the shutdown of a number of large maintenance or repair plants, there may be power shortage.
The greatest risk is on working days during peak consumption times in the morning and especially in the evening, between 17.00 hours and 20.00 hours, when public transport is running at full speed, many shops are still open and most families start doing things at home after work.
If circumstances require, the shutdowns may also occur at other times and last longer.
