Frequently Asked Questions

How is my gas consumption converted from m³ to kWh?

Your gas meter measures your consumption in m3. On your invoice, the consumption is expressed in kWh. Your grid operator calculates the conversion to kWh based on the caloric value – which is 10 on average – for natural gas in your region. The caloric value can differ per region but, because of the conversion to kWh, you will pay the correct price for the provided warmth. Your grid operator provides us with the consumption in kWh, and we use this to establish your invoice.
